Compound Herb Butter Recipe
Compound herb butter is a simple flavor enhancer for your cooked veggies and meats. It’s a mixture of savory herbs, spices, citrus and, you guessed it, butter! It’s so easy to make and keeps a long while.
Here is the simple compound herb butter recipe:
Combine 1/4 to a 1/3 cup minced preserved lemons, shallots, garlic, fresh herbs to a stick of butter (salted or unsalted, it’s up to you). Mix it together in a food processor or by hand. Form into a log shape and roll up in saran wrap, or fill an ice cube tray so you can freeze it in individual portions. Add a slice or cube to steamed beans or on top of a nice, juicy steak. Or chicken (I used it in this chicken supreme recipe), salmon…fresh baked bread…the list goes on.
Oooh, Baby! You may just like it too much.
